Founded by trainer Ron Moquett, a dedicated advocate for equine aftercare and a board member of the Arkansas HBPA, Ring The Bell highlights the importance of providing racehorses with safe and structured transitions to new careers. Horcery is honored to be part of this mission, matching all donations made throughout the day to benefit the Arkansas Thoroughbred Retirement and Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc. (ATRF).

ATRF plays a vital role in securing the future of retired racehorses, funding their rehabilitation and care while in transition, as well as providing ongoing support when needed after they have been adopted. Since 2022, ATRF has successfully rehomed 80 of the 101 horses it has taken in, including 35 horses from last year’s Oaklawn meet alone. Currently, 20 Thoroughbreds are under their care at a local Arkansas foster farm, preparing for their next chapter.

Horcery’s sponsorship of Ring The Bell at Oaklawn aligns with its broader commitment to equine welfare and cutting-edge technology. As part of this commitment, Horcery’s AI Stall Monitors are actively being used by Ron Moquett to oversee the health and well-being of his horses both on-site at Oaklawn and remotely monitor Whitmore, his 2020 Champion Male Sprinter and Breeders’ Cup Sprint (G1) winner, while he resides at Nossab Farm in Kentucky for the winter. These monitors allow Moquett to check in on Whitmore at any time, providing real-time data on his health and well-being, reinforcing Horcery’s mission to increase the health and safety of all horses.

Horcery’s AI Stall Monitors are also in use at Oaklawn Park by its owner, Louis Cella, a staunch supporter of the technology. Cella has implemented the monitors in the stalls of his horses trained by Ron Moquett, demonstrating his commitment to advancing equine welfare through innovation.

Additionally, Horcery has been granted exclusive access to broadcast Whitmore and his stablemate, Far Right, through Horcery.com. Far Right, another standout Moquett trainee, won the 2015 Smarty Jones Stakes at Oaklawn and later competed in the Kentucky Derby (G1) that year. Both Whitmore and Far Right serve as esteemed ambassadors for aftercare, demonstrating the importance of life beyond the track and the success of Thoroughbreds in new roles.
